Before You Left Me
When she was mine,
I was as happy as can be.
One too many times, I crossed the line
Now I'm paying the fee.
I wish Id never had done that,
You might have still been here.
I knew I was in for it, when you wanted to 'chat',
That was my greatest fear.
I hope you understand that 'I love you'
I could not have even one plea.
Maybe if I had looked at each clue
Before you left me.
