What do you think this poem is about?

Beginning of the end (Aka. The free-fall song)

Im free-falling through the sky
the sun burns down on these eyes of mine
and as i float rhough clouds of dust
my heart wonders if it'll be enough

nearing the ground now
everybody countdown
its the beginning of the end
its nearly over now
come on over now
is the messsage im trying to send

oh why cant it be enough
to want to have you in my life
and why cant i think through this stuff
its all over now
start the countdown, countdown
start the countdown, countdown oh countdown

im standing out in the rain
the clouds clap to my pain
and as i look up to the sky
my head is working out what is mine

here comes the thunder now
everybody hide now
its the begginning of the end
there goes the lightning now
come on over now
is the message im trying to send

oh why cant it be enough
to want to have you in my life
and why cant i think through this stuff
its all over now
start the countdown, countdown
start the countdown, countdown oh countdown

im sitting in the tides
i want to know why
cant i get into this life of mine

oh why cant it be enough
to want to have you in my life
and why cant i think through this stuff
its all over now
start the countdown, countdown
start the countdown, countdown
oh why cant it be enough
to want to have you in my life
and why cant i think through this stuff
its all over now
start the countdown, countdown
start the countdown, countdown, count down countdown...

cause im breaking now
start the countdown
its the beginning of the end
come on over now
its the message i've tried to send
