Better Me Poem by Manali Sankhe

Better Me

I let words hurt me.
I let bad dreams affect me.
I let glares dig holes in me.
I let the unsaid be heard.
I let myself believe illusions.
I let dangers invite me.
I let myself be cold.
But now,
I will let advices guide me.
I will let love heal me.
I will let protect myself.
I will let cowardice leave me.
I will let strength fill me.
I will let a fire burn in me.
And I will let myself be a better me.
