Intimidations Poem by Manali Sankhe

Intimidations

They can intimidate you,
Yes, the men can,
They seem to have all the power,
And they make you feel weak like you never have.
They assault and rape and murder
And their victims don't voice it out,
However I don't blame,
I know how it feels when
There's no sound to your every shout.
They make you feel under confident,
You feel like it was your fault,
You lose yourself in the cold and dark,
And then you meet someone,
Within you who brings back the spark.
And you feel strong like you never have
And make the haunting stop,
You punish that man who spoiled your life
And wasted your teardrops.
And though at times his dreams scare you,
You are not scared within,
Because you know you overcame your fears
And you are stronger than anything.
