Big Mistake Poem by Robert Melliard

Big Mistake

Rating: 4.5

Once I came home late from work.

The first thing I saw was our dog.

She'd had a haircut and looked cute,
so I fussed and stroked her
and said 'How pretty you are! '
then walked past my wife
(who was cooking dinner)
and sat in the lounge.

Later, my better half
gave me a pointed look, saying
'I've had a haircut, too! '
