Big Orange Thing Poem by john soltis

Big Orange Thing

Round and furry sitting on the porch

A big orange thing set to crouch

Spies a small bird or big fat rabbit

Sure would love to snag it!

Alas, the noble owner arrives

And the orange thing's all eyes

But Garfield the cat has no surprise

Just soft purrs and little cries

For the kind old owner named 'Struthers'
