Birds Know Poem by guillermo veloso

Birds Know

the days are warm
summer's dusk golden and lasting
trees full and content
cicadas last songs echo and shrill
yet the ground wears a
starling overcoat
a slight breeze
brings the scent of autumn
and the promise of golden hued redemption
in the death of the leaf
there is forgiveness
as birds well know
