Bitter, Bittern! Poem by Edward Kofi Louis

Bitter, Bittern!

Dry like the wilderness,
The cedar work is being exposed!
To hiss in scorn,
No kiss at all;
He, heron!
Like the city of oppression.

Flesh-eating bird! ! ! !
Like evening wolves;
But, let justice be the very light.

Her, heron!
We all need correction;
Able to overcome the sins of this world.

The unjust knows no shame! ! At all!
Only to destroy and kill;
Not ready for repentance,
Not ready to accept correction.

Bitter, bittern!
From every morning till the evening;
Like the muse of the sun! !
Rising up from the East till,
It settles down in the West.
