How many times,
have I been startled
by the sound of a fallen leaf
As your foot step?
How often have I wandered
into the spaces of my inner heart
To search for words
That have faded
with memory?
Were those words for real
Or only fragments of my imagination ?
Now there is a growing distance
Leaving my heart to bleed
If it was a destined fate
Tell me,
Why you endeared me
By your sweet love?
Now there is a growing distance Leaving my heart to bleed bitterness well expressed, so well presented. Thanks for the poem shared. 10
The repercussion of 'love' is manifold......which nobody is able to predict......the real turns into imaginary and vice versa.....your poem raises the pertinent characteristics of 'love' in a realistic way...thanks for sharing your emotions...
Beautiful poem- love is not always bitter cold or damp but it is sweeter and warm when it is faded and endeared my 10++
You have infinitely wandered into invisible spaces of your psyche, the thip thap sounds of fallen leaves have misled you many times as his footsteps! All the times your anticipation is betrayed. Now things have gone away of your reach turning a reality into fragments of imagination. There is an obsession of love which has fled taking the wings of separation! Yes, sweet past has turned bitter! Bitterness of love is beautifully expressed through this wonderful poem! !
Excellent poem. Loved the poignant poetic expression dear poetess.
Now there is growing---------sweet love'.Very heart touching Mam this stanza.Truely indicates some bitter facets of love.nice to read again.
You articulate so finely the bittersweet nature of love. The loved one may well reappear some day. There are so many words that I wonder if they were real or just imagination. Very moving.
This amazing poem laudably articulates the negative facet of love! The last two lines in the form of a million mark question makes it a poignant piece of poetry! I admire the ink..!
