Blasphemy Against Trump

Blasphemy against Trump

Donald Trump. We all know he's no priest,
Using profanity in daily speech. Well, at least
He can identify with the most bane Christian,
B‘cause, like them, he knows wee-little theologian.
Long before D.T.'s mom was a gleam
In dad's eye, God formed His ‘End Time' team.
He opted D.T. for Israel's condescending course
Perhaps with apodictic remorse.
God passed up ‘Hill' as his choice for POTUS,
Knowing that would, no doubt, cause a raucous.
First cousin to Blasphemy is the 7 Deadly Sins,
Topping the list is Greed - a favorite of Satan's,
May have played a part in God choosing Donald;
God knew it would be touch-and-go for an overhaul.
Many evangelicals are convinced it's wartime,
Since God chose Trump to usher in the "End Time."
Since the day God brought His people out
Of Egypt, he wanted Jerusalem without doubt
To be Israel's eternal capital - not Arabics.
(2 Chronicles 6: 5-six) .
Wars, fires, hunger, disease, and natural disasters
Also gay preachers and ministers
Along with the narcissistic ‘Me' generation
Of the 1970's has evolved from His protection
To placing their love in their own breed
Making that general population unfit to lead.
Which has brought on God's ‘Last Days' wrath
To all nations; and to America's home path.
Trump's decree to recognize Jerusalem's unveiling
As the capital of Israel is only one warning
In biblical prophecy of Jesus' 2nd coming!
In addition, during Trump's campaignpromising
To protect religious liberties, electing an anti-choice
Supreme Court Justice.
Tantamount to blaspheming Donald
Is simultaneously blasting God by word or scrawl
Which doesn't settle too well with Him at all;
And, could cause a future with Him quite - small.
But, blasphemy against Donald Trump - let's admit,
Isn't the same as Blaspheming the Holy Spirit.
The Holy Spirit Blasphemy cooks your goose;
For that, there's no doubt and there's no excuse,
It being beyond forgivingness (Mark 3: 28-thirty):
So that about sums it up - for the unholy!
Similarly, He chose Moses decades before
The Exodus of His loved ones, as Moses' tutor.
Story goes thusly: Moses' mother, a Hebrew
Hid Moses in a basket of bulrushes out of view;
And set him afloat on the Nile River.
Pharaoh's daughter saw the basket in the water,
And sent her Jewish slave to fetch the basket.
It was a troubled time for the Israelites in Egypt,
Pharaoh maintained his killing of all baby boys
When born, to control number of the little joys,
In event of rebellion against the Egyptian ruler.
Well, this Exodus story goes to show the manner
That God devised to set His children free:
Long, long before Moses was to be;
And, after the Ten Plagues by God's hand.
Moses began his trip to the Israelites new Land.
Sad that he died within sight of the Promised Land,
For when he came down from Mt. Sinai
With Two Tablets in hand, perhaps a hot July,
He saw his people worshiping a golden calf.
So he threw the tablets down, breaking in half
The covenant between God and His people,
Even though Moses made another tablet couple.
Jesus said, He'd prepare a place for you
In His Father's house - and if untrue
He would have told you. (John 14: two) .
But that's not necessarily a guarantee
In all blasphemy cases - so just wait and see!
In precis:Will blasphemers stop blasting Trump?
Not likely! So where will they end up?

COMMENTS OF THE POEM
Daniel Brick 21 August 2018

WOW the poem is the motherlode of protest poems. You aptly excite emotions with outrageous statements which upon reflection turn out to be the simple truth. Your poem is dense with detail - illuminating details - that could provide cogent arguments in an essay of ideas, but the time is ripe for anthems of action and fiery words that make people take a stand. THIS IS THE POEM OUR TIMES DEMAND.
