Bleak Poem by Elizabeth Sheaffer

Bleak

The images are swirling
Round and round inside my head
The thoughts and darkness churning
Up my once retired dread

Sorting through the pieces
All the rubbage left behind
Perhaps a little writing
Is the best thing for my mind

Lately I've been feeling
Once again unlike myself
Lately my mind's reeling
With images from Hell

My depression is returning
But it's when I write my best
The images, the burning
The descriptions, the unrest

Embracing my old demons
May be just the thing I need
For lately I've been dreaming
And the pictures looking bleak...

Another poem I can truly relate to, the demons are very inspirational. Cheers.
