Blessed Are The Peacemakers... Poem by MoonBee Canady

Blessed Are The Peacemakers...

' Blessed, Are The Peacemakers... '

(Matt.5: 9 / Eph.6: 15)

Blessed Are The Peacemakers
They... Are Called The Children of God
Even Thru Terror and Tyranny
and Brave Tears... They Have Trod

And Against Evil and Injustice
They Have Courageously Fought
Even If Held Captive
Their Hearts Were Never Caught

Blessed Are The Peacemakers
Called... The Children of God
They Walk The Wise Pathway
With How Feet Should Be Shod
(Ephesians 6: 15)

And Even If Struck Down
They Are As Lightning Rods
O' Blessed... Are The Peacemakers
Who Are As - The Children of God

And As They Pass Along The True Message of Peace
Let This Lasting Tribute Be Their Legacy
Where Love and Freedom Is Not Just Memory
So That All The Children of God Never Cease

(For They Will Rest... Then Rise... In Peace)

Blessed Are The Peacemakers
The Children of God...
They Are Victorious Even Over
Insurmountable Odds

Yes, They Triumph Even Over
Death's Firing Squads
And Even Receive The Glory
of God's Approval Nod

As Their Lives Point Out Reasons
Why Our Conscience Is Prod
When We Lose A Peacemaker
And Any Blessed Child of God's

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
I remember back when Mr. Nelson Mandela, was released from
prison in South Africa... and when he came to visit the United States.

In Boston, Massachusetts (USA) , where I was living at the time,
there was a big celebration and in 'Boston Common' (a very nice,
huge park) ... There were free concerts being held - the Boston
Pops Orchestra played and several musician celebrities performed
(including Art Garfunkle - you know he had a nice South African
rythym band and beat going) ...

And people everywhere were speaking,
hugging and (strangers and groups of friends) were all feeling good
and celebrating Mr. Mandela's release and justice finally being upheld...
It was very memorable... So, my prayers go out to his family
and friends and all those mourning the loss of this...
Beloved Peacemaker...
