Blessed Is The Child Poem by Michael P. Johnson

Blessed Is The Child

Blessed are the souls in Truth reborn
Who’ve eaten Heaven’s Bread
Who’re not afraid to face the dawn
When rising from the dead

Blessed are the few who’ve seen The Light
Who’ve drank Salvation’s Wine
Who’ll stand by faith who’ll fight the fight
And win a place divine

Blessed are the children of The King
The Lord of Lords on high
Who’ll live to dance who’ll live to sing
In the future by and by

Blessed is the child who’s found The way
A pleasure in God’s sight
Living for Jesus night and day
A fragrance of delight

Blessed is the mind of wholesome thought
The heart faithful and true
The tongue spreading the true report
That others may pursue

Blessed is the bride of Jesus Christ
With hope beyond the skies
Regarding nothing sacrificed
That Heaven would despise

Blessed is the child who’s strength’s of God
Who’s eyes are trained above
Who’ll despise sin but not the rod
Within the hand of love

Blessed are the soldiers of The Cross
Who all life’s storms withstand
Regardless of the price and loss
Until The Promised Land
