BLESSED TIMELESS ETERNITY
BLESSED TIMELESS ETERNITY
When I was a youngster one thing that I never knew
Was just how fast the commodity that we call, “Time flew”
I could hardly wait till I grew up, it seemed it would take forever
Now looking back, I can reminisce, does time stand still? No never!
I see it now so clearly even with dim filled eyes
Of all the things I've confirmation of
Is surely, how time flies
It seemed it was still Monday, but Fridays here already
Saturday's paper's my favourite reading
Sunday's church and bible study
Where did that week go, I find myself saying
Some of it has been taken up with good fellowship and praying
Then all the things I had plans for by the wayside they fell
Yet I didn't seem to be worrying about them
Well, only time will tell
I must be growing old gracefully as wifey's still my friend
The kids still laugh at grandpa's jokes
Even if they odd-ball end
I haven't worn a watch for years I haven't time for that
I'm walking on earth's pathway sure
But Heaven's my Habitat
Sure I still pay for room and board
But one day it'll be free
When I'm in the mansion He's prepared
Blessed timeless Eternity
