Scott Austin

Blinded By Love

They say that love is blind
It effect your mind
You only think it is all

They say love blinds the eyes
From the truth that can not be seen
To the one that is blinded by it

Being blinded by love
Is only leading you
In the wrong direction

This blindness of love
Has affected your mind
That has hidden the truth

For the one that needs to see
What effects it will have
On the life you could have had

You are so welling
To give it all away
Because you are so blinded

By the love you believe
To be true
Will only take you down

The path of heartache and pain
For many years to come
If only love was not so blind

    Great Poem Scott! !

It is very true. The blindess in love leads to the distruction of many but lovers don't ever

    realize that fact.

Truely an eye opener poem. (Report) Reply

Scott I liked your poem and it has such truth and sadness to it. But we all at times get caught up in our emotions and can't really see whats going on during this time of blind bliss. We have to be strong and take off our blinders and use our heads instead of our emotions. Great piece of advice for this new year! ! (Report) Reply

The wisdom you share in this poem Scott is so TRUE. You wrote this very much with a vision of the message you wanted to portray...clearly it was in your mind and you wrote it down in such a way that no one can deny the truth behind your words.
Yes it is too bad that Love is so blind at times.........
    Glad I stopped by...Hope U R well!
