Bloody Handprints: Version 2 Poem by Rebecca Hall

Bloody Handprints: Version 2

Bloody handprints
Smeared
On the shower
On the window
Looking into the mirror
He screams
Yet no sound
Comes through
His closed mouth
His eyes
So dark
The body
Lays in her
Own blood
Beyond the bathroom
Underneath the covers
Eyes hauntingly open
Mechanical laughter
Fills the room
Startling the silence
