Blooms On A Windowsill Poem by Wenjun Liu

Blooms On A Windowsill

Your startling colors halted my step.
From a windowsill dangled your dressing gown damp.
A glimpse of rainbow
At the interval of a storm.
I felt the urge to edge closer and touch your hem.
But lost is that moment, do I flee and weep?

I watched you go under a sky red and blue,
With words choking that I refused to let slip.
I could've had you whole,
Could've had it all.
But gone is that moment
Could've I flee and weep?
