Blue Lies Poem by Abdulrasheed Dawodu

Blue Lies

You walk on the sky
As it bends for you
To put your golden feet
You dine with Queens
Those are the similarities
Of your lies

Sometimes I wonder
How those words you chatter
Spring out of your lips
Right in front of the watchful eyes
Of your tongue
Without the lips closing up on them

Your lies know me so well
Even by my first name
I am so buried into them
But still can't let go
Even as I wish from you
Some little truism
