What a spell you cast with those wandering eyes!
Putting all things to sleep with that thirsty gaze.
What a trance I'm caught in by your words and sighs!
A broken meditation with such musical pace,
the running and stopping sound of your laughter.
But how lonely the world becomes after
you take your leave and melt away
Like the mist retreats from warmer summer
as the spring begins in time to sway.
So I stare at the clock and count the hours
that slip past so slow and tiresome.
So that those brief moments, brief but ours
seem in my memory, short and wholesome.
Ephemeral shooting stars in the dark sky.
Moments of daring heart, but speech so shy
as to conceal with speech, what the cheek cant hide.
