Bodily Harm Poem by Ima Ryma

Bodily Harm

Sometimes you are born with me in
Your body, sometimes I'm picked up
By your bad habits o'er again,
Absorbing too much sugar - yup!
Signs and symptoms that I grabbed you
Starts out with maybe increased thirst,
Frequent peeing and hunger too,
Lots of fatigue, then maybe worst.
You could lose limbs, you could go blind.
Better seek some medical aid.
You can't cure me, and I'm not kind.
Keep me controlled plans can be made.

Wear out your body is my aim,
And diabetes is my name.
