Body Not Claimed Poem by Mehta Hasmukh Amathaal

Body Not Claimed

Body not claimed

"I can't live with shame"
The father of terrorist claimed
"I shall not take his body"
If he was playing against country

Whole of the nation acknowledged
The feeling of grieved father and pledged
That this shall be the correct stand
If by any means we understand the sentiments

People have right to dissent
Carry the different ideology and present
But against country who has provided you free air and education
You shall be called ungrateful to then nation

Then politics may take ugly turn
The leaders may argue in favor and against to burn
Their desire for cheap publicity
We have gunned down man already

The enemies are within
Their presence is seen from time to time
They participate in module to be operated
Against national interest for the hatred to be generated

Thanks to the misplaced priorities by political parties
Who always go after and discuss communalities
Take side with minority and try to appease
In this way it disturbs the peace
