Bohemian Garden Party Poem by Wayne Falconer

Bohemian Garden Party

Might you recall bohemian garden party
when smoke rings rose steeple high
within afternoon wine shaped glass sky
ladies laughed, jokers smiled, lovers schemed
words rang in laughter while I dreamed.

Might you recall bohemian garden party
Jan was reading aloud Alice In Wonderland
There was some kinda new wave band
whose music swept across ocean meadow
laying our senses both high and low.

Might you recall bohemian garden party
somebody was dressed as the stoned ambassador
appeared to knock upon wooden invisible door
drinks and heady wine glowed flowed free
did I find or lose my minds inner key.

Might you recall bohemian garden party
party was swinging scene with much dancing
even sheep and cats and dogs were prancing
while distant voices discussed heavy themes
all about lovers, art, poetry and meaty scenes.

Might you recall bohemian garden party
the flags waved in solemn wing salute
I stood up in my rockers denim suit
the rising crazy laughter was contagious
our gathered artful company was outrageous.

Might you recall bohemian garden party
when Saturday afternoon atmosphere was high
I felt so free I might embrace universal sky
and wasn't it yesterday or decade ago
such scenes did appear to easily flow.

And can you recall bohemian garden party.
