Bored John Poem by Francis Duggan

Bored John

Rating: 5.0

Quite bored and feeling sad in his way of life
Not happy with his demanding adult children and his overbearing wife
A grandfather in his mid fifties Bored John his nickname
For his prolonged dark moods The whole World he does blame
Though to the clinically depressed he is one who belong
With himself he cannot see anything wrong
The wife he says is overbearing and their two daughters on him he says put demand
Despite what he says him and his ways they try to understand
He is not what one would call a loving granddad
Bored of his primary school going grand children he says they are spoiled bad
Never on his face the smile of delight
Nothing in life for him seems to go right
The prolonged sadness that afflicts him he cannot disguise
He does not have friends or he does not socialize.
