Bought In Blood Poem by Michelle Kidwell

Bought In Blood

Some say it is nothing more

Than a book

But how many books

Have been fought for in the

Way this has

And it is not just a book

It is sixty six books

Spanning about six thousand

Years

Fitting nicely together

So we may be guided

It is a book bought

In blood

A book Tyndale and others

Died for.

A book

How can you call the

Living word

Simply a book?
