like a bird out of its cage
I'm free
and nothing am I
trying to be
but me
Like a snake
shedding its skin
showing its nakedness
to the sun
and like a rainbow
that lets its colors run
none of my emotions
are trying to hide
no pain have I felt
no tears
have I cried
Depression is gone
its finally dead
and no more darkness do I see
Thank God
now I can see the brighter side
its bright as can be
Thank God
