O' brave soldiers of America
as you have laid your lives to rest,
I salute you for your duty and your sacrifice
as you stood there to fight and protect others
which was greatest loyalty
that humanity could ever witness.
O' brave soldiers of America
as you have been the pillars of endurance,
I salute you for your strength and bravery
as you gave up your own breath
so that others could survive and breathe on.
O' brave soldiers of America
as you dared to venture in the face of the war,
I salute you for your courage and fighting spirit;
but was it worthy to be gone
for a cause and effect
which was not your call
yet you braced the terror
and dared to venture in that zone
where so uncertain was your
own life and safety.
O' brave soldiers of America
I salute you for your patriotism
as wherever your country sent you,
you never refrained from your orders and tasks
which were enforced upon you
for being a soldier of might;
yet how could fate would be so fatal
and take away your life
without any heed or pity?
O' brave soldiers of America
I salute you for your graciousness
as you put your own life at stake
to help and protect the helpless citizens
of another nation
and you were their support and their shield
yet war and terror had no eyes
as all the good you did
went so unnoticed.
O' brave soldiers of America
I salute you for fulfilling your commitment
as you were certain of your own strength and morale
yet suddenly the bomb explosions silenced
and concluded your existence.
O' brave soldiers of America
I salute you for laying down your lives
as you dedicated yourself
to protect the innocent people and the children
though of another nation
and though you braced the terror,
you lost your own breath,
you let others breathe on.
O' brave soldiers of America
will America ever get to thank you
or is it only tears, flowers and memories
that will honor you
as no one except a soldier lays down his life
for another and he never waits to receive
any award, reward or gratitude
but it is his family that lives
in sadness and grief
as no parent can ever forget their child
and no child can ever get his dad back.
