Breaking Down Poem by Amelia Hammond

Breaking Down

Rain falls,
For the tears that could not be shed
Time runs,
For the memories are still there
Color dies,
For the heart feels none but pain
Hate grows,
For what is now gone forever
Wind blows,
For the sound runs away with it
Roads hide,
For those who can see just darkness
Terror grows,
For those living a nightmare
Charm fades,
For the eyes see all is ruined
Heart breaks,
For you have left me torn apart
Water stops,
For it seems that all has dryed.
