Breathe In - Breathe Out Poem by Marcus McKinley

Breathe In - Breathe Out

Rating: 4.5

So lonely,
She has left me...
My mistress of poetry
Each petal of her bloom,
Inspiring
Filling my thoughts,
Fragrantly

Concluded,
Her final petal falls,
Lifeless and free
My nostrils yearn for,
The scent of thee

I am lost in life's mystery

All poetry escapes me, fallen...
Hence, returned to the earth
As her last petal decays,
Into ashes…

My whole world crashes
