Bright Poem by Robert Edgar Burns

Bright

I'm back to myself today!
I wanted to die yesterday.
But how could she respect
The man she'd rather forget?
But, I'm back to myself today!

I wanted to end my life.
I was full of tears and strife.
I had hurt the sweet girl
Who had become my whole world!
So, I wanted to end my life.

Today, everything seems much more bright.
In "the golden sunset" finding light.
For the girl I did crush,
Had forgiven me much!
So, my future now seems much more bright.

To undeserved love and forgiveness.
