There’s something that only
Comes from your heart
It’s better than love
It’s the friendships you start

Knowing there is someone
There for you
Who hears you, protects you
And loves you no matter what you do

Someone you can talk to
When things are going wrong
You know you need a friend
A friend to make you strong

Wonderful, teasing
Someone with whom you have fun
Even when your life’s painted in shades of grey
They’re the one to bring out the sun

So when that all goes away
What do you do?
It’s hard, it’s difficult
To not be speaking to you

I don’t know how it happened
But I know I want it to end
I want to see you smile
And hear you laugh again

What’s it gonna take
To be your friend again
I miss you already
And the great times that you send

Tell me what I did
And if there’s something you want me to fix
I’ll try my best to do it
Cuz I hate being in this mix

The thought of you upset at me
Is something I really hate
Tell me what to do to be friends again
