Broken
There is a saying that you can’t fix what’s not broken
So why do you try
I am who I am and you are you
So many times you have tried to change me
The way I dress, how I look, or what I do
I don’t quit understand what you want from me
How can you tell me that you love me so
Then turn around and tell me to change
If you really did love you me you would love all of me
If it’s broken fix it, If not leave it alone until it is
I was never broken until now
You have twisted who I am into so many directions
If you really cared you wouldn’t have don’t this to me
You would have left me to be who I was
Nothing would have been wrong with me
Not the way I dressed, the way I looked, or what I did
So once again I ask how can you tell me you love me so
Then turn around and tell me to change
If you really truly loved me I would be perfect the way I am

Anyone who wants change out of you doesn't really love who you are. And if so, how can one say they love you at all? Perfection is a fantasy. Change won't make the false so.
Awesome, but I would say, All of us are broken chips, Our love is only lip tp lip; Ocean hits the earth hard, In its turn the rains rewards. CP
I like this one especially because I can relate to so many people telling me they care and then turning right around and saying, 'If you would do this then I'd like you better.' It's ridiculous.....
Such an emotional piece....Something many will relate to..I feel that your spacing adds to the effect that a letter has been written...great piece..Thank you for this... Best of Health & Happiness Jon
