Broken Heart Cemetery Poem by Frostee Kosovich

Broken Heart Cemetery

Rating: 5.0

Hello friend, we meet again
The other half of broken heart
It passed a while since we last met
Time and pain we can't forget

All the days we spent as one
Years that we can't overcome
Full of fears we can outrun
And all the things that have been done

Made a burden on our heart
Cut in two separate parts
Poring blood we drifted apart
Like the strangers we have become

Hopes and dreams of coming back
Not as strong as our love before
Both running on opposite tracks
Running from the one we once fell for

Our love was not enough
To keep this heart as one
And all we felt was shunned
Can't bring back what has been gone

We stand together on this sorrow land
To say goodbye to our painful past
Sallow death reaches out its hand
To take its friend home at last

And all our heartaches
reminders of our feelings
Disappear as from the ashes
Rises a newborn phoenix

Wounds have healed
But sweet scars will stay
To mark that all our pain is sealed
As we kiss the cross of our grave
