Bus Station. Poem by Kevin East

Bus Station.

Rating: 5.0

Fading
In a bus station,
Stranger
Parading a smile
-Elation.
And she's gone.
Only her scent
Lingers on.
She'll forget
That I exist.
Never know
That she'll be missed.
When my memory
Flicks the random page.
Unkissed,
I go back to my cage.
A crossword
Calls for my concentration.
As a single bird
Soars on high.
Standing in a bus station,
I mime
A mock
'Goodbye'.
