Beautiful Caer Ibormeith be
Worshipped by the Celts long ago,
Goddess of dream and prophecy.
For a year in dreams she would show
As a beautiful woman who
The sleeping one could call upon
For guidance, which she would give true.
The next year she would be a swan,
Beautiful who would still provide
True guidance to the sleeping one.
In either form a welcome guide
To wakefulness when sleep was done.

As sleepers dreamed from year to year,
A woman or swan would appear.
