Bleeding Heart
Caged
Caged
I am like a caged bird.
Denied its freedom to fly.
Imprisoned in a cage.
Caged.
I am like a bird with broken wings.
Unable to soar.
Forced to remain on the ground.
Caged.
I am a prisoner locked inside a cage.
I yearn to fly.
Yet I am held down.
Caged.
Tied down to this place.
When all I want is to fly.
Locked in this terrible cage.
Caged.
Will I ever get my chance to fly?
Or will i remain a prisoner forevermore?
Will someone set me free?
Caged.
You lock me up in a cage.
Thinking that you are just trying to protect me.
But I need to spread my wings.
Caged.
I know you have only good intentions.
But I need to understand.
You need to let me go.
Caged.
