Cain And Abel Poem by Talmadge Rogalla

Cain And Abel

Rating: 3.3

Abel was a righteous man,
Who attended sheep,
He loved his God in all his heart,
Which made him rather sweet.
His brother Cain was a cultivator,
Whose heart was very bitter,
His love did not endure,
Because he was a quitter.
Abel had a little flock,
He was a Sheppard of sheep,
And loved his God with all his heart,
For which he had a need.
But Cain was rotten and jealous,
Which turned him very bad,
The bitterness was severe,
His anger made him mad.
But Abel offered God the best,
Making his brother downhearted,
For in Gods eyes Abel's favour grew,
But Cain's just departed.
In jealousy his brother he did slay,
His blood cried out from the ground,
And God was in such dismay,
And so a curse was bound.
Cain committed a terrible deed,
So God cast him out of the land,
He was punished for the sins,
That he committed with his very hand.
His poor mother cried in distress,
Dear God my son has been slain,
My heart is all broke,
My life has been in vain,
My dear Abel is now dead,
By the hand of his brother Cain,
So God blessed her with another son called Seth,
To take away her pain.
