Call Me Simple Poem by Long Tooth

Call Me Simple

Rating: 5.0

You may call me simple, but I worship God,
This world proof enough He exists,
But when you add stars, although you think me odd,
This truth's not one my heart resists.

It's clear to me, truly, creation's not mine,
Though maybe we color the mix.
Do you claim your talents are all your design,
Just sample of your bag of tricks?

My ego won't go there, humility's gain,
For I praise a Will beyond dreams,
A God who can truly have thought in His 'brain, '
And universe echoes His schemes.

And all of creation reveals that He cares -
Give thanks that His pleasure survives,
Though we may project on Him human nightmares,
He still finds His bliss in our lives.

Really even I feel this same thought.., .that whatever the creation I do....it's indeed not mine...I am just a medium So should I not shed my ego and move on....created what is asked... Well, this is a beautiful poetry poet Thank you so much..l

for God, i'm glad He finds HIs bliss in our lives. i only wish all HUMANS could find bliss in their lives! ! ! ! i think their is some twisted logic here! i.e. not logical. : ( [of course i'm talking about logic as i was taught it many years ago. i believe 'blind faith' is what i would call your unthinking beliefs, but, IF IT WORKS FOR YOU, good for YOU! ] bri ;) but the poem has nice rhyming and flow. and, yes, i'll gladly call you simple! ! ! ha ha

My ego won't go there, humility's gain, I'm praising a Will beyond man's, A God who can simply have thought in His brain, And universe echoes His plans. very nice poem. i like poets and poetesses who believe in God and who are not egotic in their thinking and attitudes. humility i believe is a God-given gift. thank you very much dear poet. tony
