Can I Kiss Poem by Manonton Dalan

Can I Kiss

burning in midst of darkness
surrounded by frozen snow
and towering pines in circle
warming fingers, munching roots
wrap by thick hide of wilds
yesteryear's of passing scene

today a slow drip from trees
seeking roots of green grass
embracing charred wood, soft
grasshopper kissing fresh dew
silvery to peeking sunshine
like your lips with sweet smile
