Can there be an easier way
Does the pain I caused you still linger
I wish you could forgive this fool
He broke your heart on Christmas Day
He changed into someone you couldn’t
Once again I have pushed you away
And the pain is more than I can bear

Before the drugs and alcohol
Before I became shallow and sadistic
Before I changed into what I am now
You loved me and I meant more than the universe
Now that is gone
Now you are with another
Now I realize what I have done
I know things aren’t going to be how they were

After this I hope I will do better
After you leave I will not shed a tear
After this it is goodbye… forever
