Never useless
You died for native country
Not buried in graves
You were buried in history

CANAKKALE ISN'T PASSED THROUGH

Year 18 March,1915
This date has never cleaned in the memories,
The last words were said by the ones who met God,
'Canakkale isn't passed through if we also died! '

Some of us grown up, some were children,
We won the victory by the voyage of death,
As if we were born for this day,
'Canakkale isn't passed through if we also died! '

We always stood upright, never sloping down,
All of us were looked like roaring lions,
Brave, enterprising and so nimble besides,
'Canakkale isn't passed through if we also died! '

At that moon light, silent right,
How many fronts were we in, a few Mehmets?
We drank the sherbet of death together,
'Canakkale isn't passed through if we also died

Hair was hanned intending' Sacrifice',
'Died for Turkish State' was written on our vital curriculums,
Lives were given for the native country,
'Canakkale isn't passed through if we also died! '

On the earth how many young men have lied down,
Native country has watered with the blood of the ones who died,
How could it see enemy at the home of brave men?
'Canakkale isn't passed through if we also died

With the belief he has shouldred the prjoective
Sinked the ship pronouncing the formula,
History has to write the great Seyit
'Canakkale isn't passed if we also died! '

That big soldier ordered to die,
We beleived God 'Allah-u Ekber',
Even only one soldier remained,
'Canakkale isn't passed if we also died'

With saying' Goddness gracious resounds
This unknown voyage which has no turning,
Prophet has been the leader of our row,
'Canakkale isn't passed if we also died! '

Belief in the hearts, in the hands Quran,
'Allah-u Ekber' in their tongues aim is the enemy,
When the heaven like country became hell,
'Canakkale in't passed through if we also died! '

On the bult of rifle 'We cleaned ourselves ritually',
Held the arms up in the name of man,
Performed our islam prayer by ourselves,
'Canakkale isn't passed through if we also died

Fingers arms have broken off, eyes were blind,
How many Mehmets die in the name of liberty?
Person who has been smashed bits went to heaven,
'Canakkale isn't passed through if we also died

These tremendous places became legandary,
O, the bravest soldier, died for the native country,
Prophet will be yor witness,
'Canakkale isn't passed through if we also died! '

Over my native country glorious red flage,
With honer always wave,
My next generation will live freely under it,
'Canakkale isn't passe through if we also died! '
