Cardiac Arrest Poem by Courtney Gomo

Cardiac Arrest

I'ts an act against all biological laws,
a crime deserving the most brutal sentence,
As he chose to display his arrogant flaws,
heartlessly in the public's presence.

How dare he? !
trigger emotions well concealed.
'Prince Charming' he pretended to be,
only to break a heart we once healed.

Cutting deeper on fresh wounds,
subcutaneously penetrating with no shame.
Carelessly and recklessly he tore,
through the flesh of a soul, innocent and tame.

Strtegically he manouvred into her life,
confessing falsehoods sweeter than honey.
He stands culpable for watching her fall,
only to sting her sharper than a bee. Cunning!

But karma will avenge in due time,
rip his heart callously from his chest.
Tripling the pain he inflicted, he will dserve,
not just a heart break but a Cardiac Arrest.
