Caress Anything Poem by Angel Payne

Caress Anything

Rating: 5.0

There she was, standing in the sunlight spotted pixie dress she loved to wear as a kid...
She swept the hair from her face and turned into the shadow of the magnolia tree she would climb as a kid.
And as a kid she would hold and hug anything with two eyes and a beating heart.
Caress anything with curves and the sense to feel....
Swirls in moonlight, under the sky's loneliest night and she will make you feel like you have never been alone a moment in your life.
She will hold your dreams and roll them in the palm of her hand, tumble them until they come out gleaming moments you call reality.
She holds your secrets like buried treasure, safe from the pirates of life.... locked and secured in bomb proof housing, providing you a place to hide as well.
She knows what you are thinking, when you are thinking about her, and how to change your mind.
She does it every time.
She's stronger than the worlds mighty oceans yet soft and coy as a mink.
And she grows, and learns that to live isn't easy and these twists and turns will turn that soft, sensitive, naive heart into granite.
All the gemstones embedded within, but not visible from the exterior.
Every dress ever worn, every tree ever climbed, every hug ever given as an introduction or a conclusion...
every feeling ever reciprocated, every twirl, and swirl of her hair under lock and key, under life and experience, under your empty words..... looking for your promises of dreams, of security, of your knowledge of who she really is....
Because she is stronger than the world's mightiest oceans, that girl, standing in the sunlight spotted pixie dress she loved to wear as a kid.

i see a dilemma and a dichotomy in the superficial bravura nd deep undertones.... caged and closeted....the pink shades shine vivid.... nice collage
