To be a child
so simply put
let my heart run wild
holding dreams afoot.
Life among trees
sleeping in tall grasses
hair tangled by the breeze
careless while time passes.
I dream of an earth
colored with imagination
created with mirth
mingled with curious sensation.
For a child is free
with no reservations
performing purely
soliciting salutations.
There the sun sets with peace
riding with unrealistic sails
practical minds cease
and ever roam nonsensical tales.
