Carousel Poem by Lawrence S. Pertillar

Carousel

Renovated.
Updated with fresh paint.
With a replacing of snacks.
Loaded with fatty acids.
To give those in disbelief,
A new perspective on life.
Recognizing our priority,
Is focused on rapid change.
With a more diverse and inclusive outlook.

"That's great.
Wonderful.
What name has been chosen,
For this renewed point of view.
And exciting adventure into the future."

We've decided after many debates.
To call this creation...
Carousel.
Since Merry-Go-Round,
We found to be too repetitive.
Too 'yesterdayish'.
And leaving the past behind,
We hope the people will find is beneficial.
Division and conflict has gotten us nowhere!

"I love it.
How brilliant.
What a difference this should make.
Finally everyone will see,
We all doing our best to move forward.
We all are seeking to make progress.
And...
Together."
