To my first born
I can remember that day my life change and you were born
Different emotions running thru me
Happiness was one because I knew you change who I would become
Also pain knowing you would be born into a world full of hate
Where people are crazy and don’t know how to behave
As you grow you might thing I’m one of them
But know that my love for you makes my heart mean well
As I look into your eyes all I see is my little girl
My little girl who without a thought I would give my life for
The one I promise I will always be there to help carry on
The one that in my eyes whatever she does can’t do any wrong
Your actions and words melt my heart
Hearing “love you daddy” gives me the greatest feeling
Seeing you do your silly actions brings light into my life
Where would I be with you?
That question I won’t answer
Because I know when I’m old and could barely walk
All my life teachings will pay off
When you are there to help me carry on
