I never thought I'd see the day,
When you would have to go away.
And I never cared to spend the time,
I was too busy with the almighty dime.
You dreamed of castles in the air,
And knights on chargers and ladies fair.
And all you wanted was a smile,
And to talk with me, for just a while.
Was it so much I ask myself,
That into your soul I couldn't delve.
I should have spent more time with you,
But now there is nothing that I can do.
You've gone away now, not by choice,
Away from me, from life, from noise.
It looks so peaceful where you lay,
I miss you more now every day.
