Catalog Of American Tragedy Poem by Xillus Xavier

Catalog Of American Tragedy

A liner meets an icy doom at night.
A silver blimp becomes a ball of flame.
A harbor's bombed by planes at early light.
A charismatic president is slain.
We lose the man who said he had a dream.
A campus demonstration goes astray.
The shuttle splits apart in fiery streams.
A quake collapses bridges in the Bay.
A bomb outside an office building blows.
The nation screams as towers tumble down.
A sniper terrorizes D.C. roads.
As levies fail, we watch a city drown.
A college campus mourns their murdered friends.
A Texas town's destroyed by sea and winds.
