Celebrating The Four Seasons Of Love Poem by James Darwin Smith II

Celebrating The Four Seasons Of Love

Under the sun we lay
Questioning love
Not side by side
But in heart, spirit and mind

So alone, be we could have not been so
We searched high and low
Through the four seasons not just one
Accursed by our surroundings
Never knew of our own existence
As our energy gets sucked
By the leaches of love’s denial

Who are we to say what love can be?
After all there is always a catch
It is never free
Sacrificing every sacred moment for pain
If we are supposed to be within this very time

We cannot function through lies
Why does honesty have to die?
Why do the wrong eyes have to cry?
From the punishment of being dreamers
By the ignorance that has fooled love into submission

Old souls, yet so advanced
We must keep fighting
For love needs us more than ever before

True lovers; Express all of your love
Pour every ounce of those sacred hearts
Never let the lies of the oblivious minds win
The soul is more beautiful than flesh
So let us fly as our mission for truth in love begins

Under the sun we lay
The sky we share
Let us answer love with our own movement
To bring true passion in heart, spirit and mind

True love is what shall set our souls free
The narrow oblivious ones were the ones truly imprisoned
Let us all cherish in love’s true sublime

Love, is reserved for all seasons
In the essence of its own eternal sublime

Under the sun we lay
Celebrating love
In spirit
Amongst our hearts, souls and minds
