Charity Flows Poem by Mehta Hasmukh Amathaal

I feel myself no noble
As everything comes without struggle
The empire is well built on untruthfulness
It needs no window for success

It is inherited enough from ancestors
The property owned is of enough treasure
I am born with silver spoon
The life shines fully in noon

“Why do you need to struggle” people may often say
“Why do you unnecessarily invite troubles” they may comment any way
I know even divine treasure may find bottom
If proper taken is not taken with wisdom

Some of the income goes towards charity
Some of it goes towards temples for deity
Some fund is diverted for educational purpose
Some portion is utilized as I choose

Despite all these, I feel remorse
Not curse exactly but it involves no course
My labor or efforts to earn more
I just keep wealth in safe store

I am still happy that its utilization is for good
Some of the orphans are provided with food
They give blessings when visit the place
I find it as matter of pride with smile on face

I must reflect it clearly
As the wealth is looked after dearly
It has no property right clamed by me
I have allowed it to flow freely
