Child Of Poverty Poem by Matin ...

Child Of Poverty

Rating: 5.0

It's so strange.
They speak about it.
Pizza! burgers! chicken! meat!
I don't know what 'delicious' means!
I don't know what 'over weighting' is!
I just know what 'skinny' is
Everyone calls me like this.

My food is great, wonderful!
Eating this way needs no rule
I won't eat anything instead
Here it is; water & bread!

Last night doctor told my dad:
'your child needs some protein'
But dad needs his money for
Some more drug & heroin.

We were penniless, dad was sad.
Poverty made him truly mad.
Addiction came and kindness went.
Our home is a carton tent!

In fact only God can mend
My wounds with the looks he sends.
I'm the child of poverty,
Hunger is my only friend.

(2013)

to all hungry children on the earth...

wonderful my friend.it have very good rhyme and subject. once a sophisticated man told me we must eat best food and drink the best beverage.sleep in best and comfortable beds.and also live in the best and super expensive houses.i wondered and i asked him what if we dont have enough money and what if we are poor. then he replied.if we get hungry enough, our food is the best and the most delicious food.if we get thirsty enough what we drink is the best beverages.if we get tired enough our bed is the most comfortable bed.and finally if we love each other and everyone our world would be the most and super expensive house. i dont know maybe what these words seem motto.i didnt believe in it too but now i am understanding what he said. felicitous.~nb
